Sadly, I talked to the owner and he knows how glorious it is. He will not sell. This car is perfect.

My uncle had one in beige very similar to that. Manual choke, believe it or not. He bought it new, kept it absolutely immaculate, perfectly maintained, and sold it in 2003 for $3000.
My uncle is a goddamn idiot.
I told him so as soon as I found out, in no uncertain terms. I would have given him 3 grand for it in a heartbeat.
We don’t talk anymore. I disowned him. Seriously. (Though not over the cruiser, but it didn’t help)

I drove a few of those when they were new. I can’t imagine how much worse they are now. Especially in suburbia.
These things only ever made any sense and came alive when in low range with only a semblance of a track beneath their tyres...
My suggestion, IM, is never drive your heroes...
